A historic year draws to a close in The Cabrach

This year will forever be remembered as a significant year for The Cabrach and our efforts to regenerate this historic place. It has been a year of trials and triumphs. Without question, watching spirit flow through our spirit safe for the very first time will forever remain etched in our memories.

The resumption of whisky making in The Cabrach after an absence of over 170 years represented a huge milestone. This was the start of a journey that we believe will culminate in the creation of an extraordinary Single Malt Scotch Whisky, whilst driving the long-term regeneration of The Cabrach. That you are with us on that journey is vitally important. Frankly, without the support, encouragement, and belief of so many, we would never have reached this milestone.

This time of year always provokes a pause for thought and thankfulness, so we wanted to share our thanks with our Collective members, our supporters, our funders, our partners, and everyone who has played a part in our ‘whisky with purpose’ journey so far. And we’re already excited to navigate the New Year ahead with you all. 

Our first full year of production at The Cabrach Distillery will unquestionably be as exciting as this year. We have some incredible Collective exclusive insights and releases to share, fine casks to fill, and a very cool programme of experiences and events to launch. There will definitely be some special surprises in store for our Collective members as we embrace our wild spirit.    

As a howling gale rages outside the stillhouse at Inverharroch, we conclude this historic year by the warmth of the stills, reflecting on all that’s been achieved together.
